The following is a breakdown of approximate costs as at the 1st of March 2009

These costs may be subject to change and are GST inclusive

Administration fee on Sign up		$ 270.00
Apprenticeship training record book (Issued by New Zealand Sign & Display Association)
Association Member fee		$  62.00 core subject
		$  29.00 per strand
Association Non-Member fee		$130.00 core subject
		$  54.00 per strand
Unit standard credit fee (per credit)		$    1.55
Block Course (per course)
Stage 1 Block course		$490.75	(Covers course fee of $390.00 plus 65 credits @ $1.55 each)
Stage 2 Block Course		$517.10	(Covers course fee of $390.00 plus 82 credits @ $1.55 each)
Stage 3 Block Course		$645.75	(Covers course fee of $390.00 plus 155 credits @ $1.55 each and $15.00 National Certificate Fee)

Each block course runs for three weeks.
A total of 3 block courses are required over the term of apprenticeship.

Wellington

Other costs connected to the NZ Sign School may also apply e.g. student services fees etc.

Travel subsidy
This payment is made to those apprentices who are required to travel between the North and South Island to attend a course. For those apprentices who are eligible for the subsidy, an application form will be sent to the employer at the appropriate time.
