It would be quite hard to do justice to the Nelson Conference in words so for the main part we’ll let the pictures do the talking. But, just for a brief overview, here’s basically how it all went! Mix and Mingle of Wednesday night, nice finger food, free drink, good people, new faces. President’s Breakfast, 80 plus people getting ready for a good time. Conference photo, nice walk up town, entertaining time with Warren Haakma helping out some unexperienced wannabee signwriters on the way back to Trailways! AGM, smooth and productive. Lunch then the business session by Pragmatik, eventful.
Friday started with hints and tips, always useful. Then it was the golf and pool tournaments for the competitive amongst us while everyone one else headed off on the bus trip to breweries, wineries, craft shops, potteries, the WOW museum and the car museum. Friday night was free. Saturday and it’s another bus trip out to Kaiteriteri and Wilson’s Experiences boat trip to Bark Bay in the Abel Tasman National Park. Back in time for a clean up and then off to the Trafalgar Centre for Awards night. Closing breakfast on Sunday saw Warren Haakma receiving the Farr Cup for trying to help the wannabees, Max Kearney won the pool, making him a three time winner over the years, and Brendan Smith took out the golf. Enough talk, let’s check out the pics from various unofficial photographers. Thanks to all who contributed and all who took part. Nice one!!
The Nelson Marlborough branch wish to thanks all those who participated in this year's conference. The delegates, the partners, the awards attendees and of course the sponsors and supporters. |
