All members of the Association shall so order their conduct
as to uphold at all times the high reputation of the Association
and each member shall actively improve and promote the
standard of the trade and share with fellow members the
common responsibility for integrity.
Every member shall render service to his clients on a fair
and equitable basis and practice his trade to the best standards
of workmanship and integrity.
Members shall maintain the highest standards in the preparation
of estimates, quotations and other documents because of the
reliance placed upon them by clients.
A member shall be loyal to the Association, and be willing
to share his lessons of experience with his fellow members.
All information or correspondence provided by the Association
to members shall remain confidential.
No members shall consciously endeavour to attract or offer
employment to an employee of a fellow member without first
having advised the fellow member. This is not to be construed
as prohibiting negotiations with anyone who, of his own initiative
or in response to public advertisements, applies to a member
for employment.
Members shall refrain from expressing comment or criticism
to the general public on the services, fees or conduct of
a fellow member. However, it is the duty of every member
to maintain the standard of his trade by referring to his
Association any breach of conduct which may appear to bring
discredit on the Association or its members.
Advertising by members shall be strictly truthful and shall
not express or imply criticism of other members.
All members shall, whenever possible, take an active part
in the work of the Association, attend and participate at
meetings, accept nomination to office, and generally further
the interests of the Association and its members.
In the case of any complaint by a client or other member
of the Association the member concerned shall agree to have
the case investigated by the Association's Executive and
agree to abide by the decision.
A member shall not use another member's drawings or designs
in any way without prior approval of the originator.
All members of the Association shall be bound by this code
of practice.
