The sunny Hawkes Bay is the host region for the 2011 NZ Letterheads event and Dean Evenson of Sign It Up Ltd is your host.

What’s it all about?

With the computer/digital age upon us and new generations of signwriters learning the craft in completely different environments we are at risk of losing the knowledge and skills of crafts practised for years. For years craftsmen closely guarded their hard earned knowledge, these days it’s that knowledge we need to pass on.

Letterheads is about your willingness to learn, share and explore with experienced
sign painters, stripers, airbrush artists and gilders.

So come along to this years workshop be prepared, roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty it’s all about giving it a go. Sleep a lot before you come because you won’t want to when you’re here. Once you get caught up in the creative environment it becomes difficult to stop, you’ll want to share your knowledge and help the less experienced.

Bring a note book and camera there’s NO secrets here!

There will be demonstrations at around 11.00am every day. These will include:

• Rowan Kyle teaching sign aging techniques
• Jeff Harvey explaining and demonstrating the art of gilding
• Murray Wilson showing everyone how to pinstripe
